Latinx Art, Literature & Culture

Our mission is to engage our community in different types of art and to provide a space for them to grow, create and connect no matter where they live. We provide a platform for Latinx artists & authors to be seen by including their works in our boxes.

We aim to inspire and educate our community by inspiring them through art and literature. We hope to help Latinx connect to their roots and other Latinx cultures by relating to their experiences.

In order to start up the new projects within our business we need to invest in marketing. For the best outcome from employees we would like to guarantee biweekly payment instead of payment per sales. That way the focus can be in working for the business and not be it a second priority.

The market exists separately within other companies, but not with the same focus. "Book of The Month", "The Art Sherpa" and "Sketchbox" are businesses that do something similar, but separately and and with different focuses. They serve as inspiration and market guides for our own take on the market.

Our business has two branches; the Arte Cultura streaming membership and the Art & Lit Box subscription.

- The “Arte Cultura” membership gives you access to art class videos in both Spanish and English. There is new content posted once a week and access to a community chat where you get to share your progress and final product, ask questions and make suggestions for future classes. Art instructions include acrylic, gouache and watercolor painting, mosaics, jewelry and techniques.

“Art & Lit Box” Subscription, is a monthly literary & art subscription. Each month, we send a Latinx book with an art project inspired by the book. The box includes some goodies with the book theme in mind, like posters, bookmarks, pins, stickers, candles and others. Our customers are latinx bookworms & art enthusiasts within the USA.

Additionally, we have a shop for art supplies, latinx books, original art, and goodies; and a blog that highlights Latinx art, books, history, traditions and culture.

We are seeking funding for the startup of these projects. For marketing campaigns and advertisement, better pay for our employees and miscellaneous expenses to get everything running.

At the moment our team consist of three Latinas. As a team we do the curating of our products, design themed goodies and art classes, record classes in Spanish and English, do photoshoots and video shoots for the classes and for marketing, web design and marketing strategies. We will be incharge of customer service, logistics and fulfillment. Better funding will help us compartmentalize job positions in the areas that better suit us and hire accordingly once the projects launch.
