Language Services to Minority Communities
Help to fund full time employment to newly trained bilingual Diploma graduates so that they can fill the need of their minority communities.
Project Description
- Our Campaign aims to expand language services to Minority Communities by providing fully trained and qualified bilingual individuals as medical interpreters
- Currently minority communities are disadvantaged in their ability to obtain qualified interpreters thus leading to poorer healthcare outcomes
- The market size is nationwide and the ability to obtain qualified interpreters is quickly becoming overwhelming
- MiTio is one of ten organizations that is accredited by the IMIA - The International Medical Interpreters Association. We provide 160 Hour Diploma Programs in Interpreting and Translating that are truly comprehensive and rigorous
- We are seeking funding in order to purchase an existing agency with secured contracts so as to provide full time employment to our recent Diploma graduates
- Our Team: Nelva Lee the CEO, Donnie Lee Jr. our CTO, Marshele Alfano and Stephanie Yahya our Admission Coordinators, 6 Program Specialist, 4 Facilitators and over 500 Interpreters and Translators
