There are plenty of Salons here in Stamford, however, there are no salons in the area who specifically cater to children, and are minority owned. Children are delicate and have very gentle hair care needs. It is especially difficult to find a salon who can effectively care for the special type of natural hair young African American children have.  

Kayla's Kidz Beauty Salon specifically caters to young children ages 1-18 years of age. This is the only Salon in this area and the surrounding areas focused on the needs of children and their various hair types. We are a one stop shop for all your Child's grooming needs including natural hair care, nail services, color services, haircuts, and more!. We will be a staple in this community for many years to come.

Kayla's Kidz Beauty Salon caters to children ages 1- 18 years of age. In the Stamford area alone, 26.5% of the residents are children under the age of 18. In the following neighboring towns such as Darien, Greenwich, and Norwalk the resident stats are as follows;

Darien- 39.6% of the residents are under the age of 18.

Greenwich- 26.2% of the residents are under the age of 18.

Norwalk- 25.9% of the residents are under the age of 18.

In all four of these towns more than 85% of the residents are children under the age of 18.

In all four of these towns 37.7 % of the residents are African American.

Our founder, Tamara Lawton, is a successful and passionate entrepreneur. After being a 1st generation African American graduate, she is starting her first business, a beauty salon catering specifically to the hair care and beauty needs of children in the local community.
