Project Description

It is estimated that 76% of us suffer from productivity issues due to "checking out" from our jobs, work-related stress, and general unhealthy lifestyle habits. Does this sound familiar? Moreover, it's proven that professional women are more likely to suffer from burnout. 

Inspired by our own stories and inability to help our teams, we started Journify! Our vision is to help companies, individuals and co-working spaces achieve a burnout-free lifestyle. 

Why Personal Coaching?

Personal coaching has been proven to be 3X more effective than any other "one-size-fits-all" app or tracker, and has an 86% engagement rate. Moreover, 92% of users that have worked with a personal coach would do it again!

Why Journify?

We have spent significant time curating a top community of wellness coaches and selecting action-driven workshops.

Also, by booking a session our users get free access to our HIPAA-compliant platform that offers many features to support the entire wellness journey (and makes it fun too!). Users can talk to our chatbot to get matched with one of our coaches that we've carefully curated. Journify also allows for instant booking, intake forms, tele health, 24/7 multimedia chat, goal setting and alerts, wellness journal entries and detailed progress tracking. 

 

Why help us? 

With very little support and resources, we've been able to get an incredible amount of experts and supporters to help us build our first product and recruit top wellness practitioners. The initial feedback of our customers is awesome and already fueling our dreams!

We need resources to keep expanding our wellness workshops and initiatives to more organizations and develop the second version of our product. Starting in September, we'll be working with top researchers, data scientists, and other experts in transformative technologies (from the Transformative Technologies Academy). We'll leverage AI to detect when your sleep and stress levels and are out of the norm, and provide actionable recommendations that fit within your lifestyle. We'll get you free access to our beta once the new app goes live!

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • When will my hourly or group session takes place? We will send you a booking link within 24 hours that's tied to the coach's calendar. You'll select the date and time that's convenient from you!
  • Are sessions in person or online? All hourly sessions take place online via our Telehealth platform. Group sessions are in-person only available for NY and NJ. For other cities, travel costs apply.
  • What does the Journify platform include? Our platform includes video chat, 24/7 chat with your coach, goal setting and alerts, and other personal metrics tracking. You can watch a quick demo here.

Embodied Life Coaching

Methodology:

The embodied life coaching method helps people to reclaim their bodies inherent wisdom through the compassion based method of coaching that includes the external with the internal, felt sense intuitive wisdom of the body to help guide sessions and be included in the process of becoming your most alive self.

For years I tried to force myself to take action steps in my life in ways that I believed would make me feel happier and more complete. If only... What I did not realize though, was that if I was looking for something outside of myself to complete me or postponing happiness and wellness now I would just never get it. Plus I would over ride my body's signals to slow down and rest, or stop exercising and stretch if some part of my body was about to become injured. This top down relationship with the body was not loving, or effective, and definitely not wise and I suffered because of this. Only when I realized that I needed to include the body's wisdom and voice that things started to shift in a very positive way. There are oftentimes parts of ourselves that require support, a voice, there is a need or a missing experience we didn't know was there that with the correct support, can be integrated in order to become the person you've always dreamed of being. I love embodied coaching because it includes the inner life in the external life goals process and focuses on empowerment while at the same time leaves room for the whole person. Having a balance with the inner and outer life is a big part of learning true self love and how to embody our most joyful, dynamic and successful life yet.

Personal bio:

Hello! I am passionate about the healing and integrative capacity the embodied coaching relationship provides. My background includes over a decade of meditation and mindfulness-based practices including dance, movement and sound. Facing my own healing crisis in the early 2000's, I earned a bachelor's degree in Feminism and looked deeply into interlocking systems of oppression. Finding healing in art, movement, expression and activism I sought to deepen my healing and began receiving bodywork from a shaman of the Dagara tradition. This moved my healing to a profound level and eventually lead me towards somatic counseling psychology. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I earned her master's degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology in 2013.
