Shareden Sweet Confections (SSC) an emerging luxury dessert brand, started as a family-owned cottage food bakeshop managed by Sharon Johnson, (Founder/Pastry Artisan and former Fortune 500 business consultant/trainer).

Based in Michigan, we have been happily baking and serving our close-knit family, dear friends, community organizations, fellow Gulf War veterans and business partners for many years.

Due to overwhelming support, we quickly shifted to a state-licensed specialty macaron-centric baked goods production company, (upsizing from several production kitchens twice in less than two years to accommodate demand) via online through our site and various sells platforms.  

What We Do:

We craft and sell our proprietary signature artisan macaron products and other unique macaron desserts inspired by our family's French Creole heritage.  Our offerings include premium macarons, exquisite macaron entremet cakes (real cakes not larger macarons), and other delectable pastries. SSC branded products are confectioned to exceed the standards of true macaron connoisseurs.  

We combine innovative French, Italian and Swiss patisserie techniques gleaned from national and internationally renowned pastry chefs, paired with our special family recipes to create our unparalleled treats.

Shareden Sweet Confections utilizes locally obtained fresh ingredients along with the finest national and internationally sourced premium products.  We purposely support local food non-profit organizations and growers in our region.

In the spring of 2022, we successfully introduced the Shareden Sweet Confections Signature Artisan Macaron Entremet Cake Collection, (a new and exclusive macaron entremet cake collection) to a limited audience.

Product Demand:
Macaron cake types are a hot commodity, especially for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, showers, receptions, graduations, retirements, business celebrations and private events. 

However, it is not feasible for patisseries, or bakeries to produce macaron cakes due to the complexity of the process and the unique skill set required.

These cake options are few are far between for gourmet macaron cakes. They are a rarity.
In addition, we are currently refining and crafting several low carb, plant-based and vegan options that meet our high standards for our next collection phase.

Our Reach:
Gluten-free products are in demand and not only consumed by people with celiac or related autoimmune diseases, but also by the general health-conscious population, which encompasses a large number of millennials.

A surge in the demand for gluten, dairy and other "free from" products is based on a myriad of conditions attributed to these items. Thus, patisserie and bakery products, which are offered as gluten-free, whole wheat, or dairy free are gaining popularity among the health-conscious consumer category.

Many millennials (Gen Y's) and others are also looking for indulgent luxury experiences and extravagant desserts.  We offer the best of both.  

In fact, millennials are the most diverse generation in U.S. history. The number of millennials will reach 81.1 million in 2036. The influx of millennial immigrants has facilitated and contributed to this expansion. By 2025, millennials will account for 75% of the workforce (Deloitte, 2014).
 
Further, other key factors that continue to drive demand, include influencer marketing.  A large percentage of influencers are women.  In fact, women drive 70-80 percent of all consumer purchasing, through a combination of their buying power and influence.
 
Influencer marketing has a direct impact on consumer preferences, social media engagement and online sales.

Why Is SSC Crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding involves the community. Community is the bedrock on which the SSC brand was built. Crowdfunding keeps our fundraising effort personal and brings people together.
We want the SSC brand to continue to be a warm and welcoming addition. We felt that approaching traditional investors would make our campaign impersonal. We wanted this to be a project for real macaron connoisseurs, crafted by true connoisseurs.

What Will We Do With Campaign Funds?

Use of Funds:
We currently have multiple opportunities to produce and offer our distinctive and amazing macaron cakes to a larger audience and need your help as we transition to a dedicated kitchen space with increased production capacity. 

We are seeking $25,000 to offset some of the cost of the additional equipment needed to produce our SSC branded proprietary macaron cakes.   

Funds will be used to enhance our production capability to meet order demand by acquiring the items needed to manage the volume increase:

•    Two Additional Commercial Double Convection Ovens ($8000)
•    Macaron Multidrop Depositor ($6000)
•    Blast Chiller ($5000)
•    30 Quart Planetary Mixer ($3000)
•    Automated Filling Machines ($2000)
•    Two Chocolate Tempering Machines ($1000)

Possible Risks & Challenges
The demand for our proprietary macaron cakes is great but the ability to meet that demand is a bottleneck and our current reality.  The ability to meet that demand may take longer if we do not reach our goal of producing a larger volume of products.

Here is why the risks will be ridiculously minimal:

•        We will not be starting from the scratch, the space we are looking to lease is a fully equipped dedicated kitchen.  
•        As experienced Fortune 500 business consultants, we are putting our best foot forward, and will do everything in our capability to outweigh the risks.
•        Lastly, we are backed by an amazing support system of client's, (family, friends, colleagues, church, USAF veteran community and the Indiegogo family) most who have come this far with us, and others that are about to partake in this journey. We are certain that the risks will be minimal.

A big part of our strategy has been to grow the SSC brand with very little debt.  We have made progress faster than initially thought, we weathered the COVID storms and are stronger than ever.
