Project Description

The Inside Story

In Minnesota, we're all held hostage by the extreme weather conditions. Snow, rain, heat, humidity, bugs  - it all gets in the way of our ability to get our dogs the exercise and socialization they need. Indoor Zoomies is the answer,

Indoor Zoomies is an indoor dog park that can promise the perfect conditions every day no matter the weather.

Indoor Zoomies is needed by all dog lovers, including myself.  There are just too many days where the outdoor park isn't comfortable for me or my dog.  Maybe it rained, maybe it's too cold for my Chihuahua mix, maybe it's too hot for me to stand in the sun and for my dog to run until she's out of energy. So we're bringing the fun indoors

Indoor Zoomies will be more than just a dog park. While dogs might not need much more than open space and another pup buddy, we do. We want to forget that it's cruddy outside. We want to get work done and have a cup of coffee while our dogs play; and we want to make sure our dogs are safe under a watchful eye. I hear you!

Trained professionals will be on the play floor at all times making sure all play is positive and that your pup stays safe. We love dogs, too! We don't want anyone getting scared or hurt.

Lastly, Indoor Zoomies will be partnering local rescues to host adoption events in a comfortable wide-open environment. Foster pups will be able to play, socialize, and show off their natural personalities with perspective families. There will also be special events such as foster dog Yoga and Pilates to help people meet these wonderful dogs.

Indoor Zoomies is so important to me, but it's also important for our dogs. I can't wait to open the doors and meet all your four-legged best friends.

How do YOU benefit?

Professionals: Your dog can play and socialize while you get work done in our coffee lounge. Dogs will tire out quickly playing with one another and on our playground. We're also cheaper than boarding

Seniors: Your dog will tire himself out instead of tiring out you.  There will be seating in the  play floor area so you can relax.  We'll also have solid, sturdy flooring. No hills, mud, or bumps to worry about.

People with mobility issues: Indoor Zoomies will be accessible to all. We'll have gate openings  wide enough for wheelchairs and flat, sturdy flooring for stability.

Owners of dogs who never get tired: We'll have a playground that will burn energy faster than  flat ground. We offer monthly and annual passes that are UNLIMITED, meaning you can come in as often as you'd like.

The Cost Breakdown

With $5000, we can secure a location

With an extra $2000, we can get the fencing needed to create the play floors

$4000 allow us to purchase the play place seen above

$3000 will help us create the cafe area where you can relax and work while your dog tires himself out

All other funding will be used for training, tech, employees, aesthetics, and anything unforeseen that isn't good enough for you and your dog that we need to fix

About Me.

Hi, I'm Annelise. I'm a high school choir teacher and rescue volunteer. I enjoy working out at an aerial fitness gym (the hammock circus thing). I'm terrible but someone has to be the worst one in the room to make every feel better. I know my place.  I like to color in adult coloring books and watch TV. Have you seen What We Do in the Shadows?? Hilarious.

Anyway, I'm just a normal girl who's quitting her job to open a dog park/ adoption center. Thanks for reading all this.  Hope you're having an awesome cup of coffee.

The Campaign FAQs

Why does Minnesota need an indoor dog park?

On average, Minnesota gets 52 "nice day"s a year. Dog owners are always at the mercy of our extreme cold or extreme heat. Many of our "nice days" are still muddy or buggy. An indoor dog park would allow owners to exercise and socialize their dog year round.

What else will Indoor Zoomies provide?

Thank you for asking! We will not only be a place for dogs to run and play. On weekends, we will open our massive space to local rescues for adoption events. In Minnesota, most rescues travel south to bring back dogs from high kill shelters. They are then safe and will have a life where they are loved in their foster homes. But if foster dogs aren't getting adopted, then other dogs await their fate in the high kill shelters. We believe an indoor dog park will help more dogs get adopted as perspective families will be able to meet the dogs off-leash and form a bond through play.

I don't live in Minnesota. Why should I donate?

Because my dogs wants treats and walks? Perhaps not a good enough answer. With your donation, Indoor Zoomies will be able to host adoption events year round. No one wants any dog to suffer and with your help, we can lower the number of dogs in kill shelters by helping local rescues get their current dogs adopted to make room for something else's best friend
