Help us Build El-Rapha Clinic

My name is Seray Grande, and I am writing on behalf of A Grande Design Inc. Our organization is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit based in Lanham, Maryland USA.

At this current time, we are working on a building project of a Medical Clinic in one of the villages; Faguyah GBO Chiefdom BO District Sierra Leone, West Africa. This clinic will serve 17 remote landlocked villages and other communities nearby, of approximately 2000 people. This clinic will serve as an emergency location since the nearest town is 13 miles walk on footpaths, while transporting sick individuals and pregnant women in hammocks. The main focus point to start with on the clinic will be pre-natal and post-natal care for women and newborn children. Sierra Leone has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the World. On a recent trip there I had to hear of 3 children pass under the age of 5 just because of lack of medical facilities and just not having knowledge of what to do with a sick child.  Secondly the clinic will focus on malaria care, typhoid care, and basic wound care. Eventually we would like to have a fully functioning operating theater inside the clinic.
