Help Deaf People Tap Into Their Potential

Mission:

Deaf Academy aims to help Deaf individuals tap into their full potential and create the life they truly want. 

Many Deaf people grow up without role models to mentor and guide them. As a result, they may not recognize the amazing ability they have within them to break down the barriers and achieve their dreams.  At Deaf Academy, we provide the tools and mentors so that Deaf individuals can empower themselves to live their BEST life.  For every 1000 people, two of them are deaf. This means over 600,000 Deaf people in the US alone could benefit from Deaf Academy. 

As for my own personal story--I was born with normal hearing and grew up hard of hearing. I became deaf at the age of 19 from a fall while barefoot water skiing.  I wanted to be a reporter or a nurse--but after becoming deaf, I was discouraged from those paths and chose a "safer" path.  Later, I discovered there were deaf reporters, nurses, doctors, engineers, vets, pilots, and more! Imagine what my life path might have been if I had someone positive to guide and mentor me with their wisdom--that's what we do at Deaf Academy! 

At Deaf Academy, Deaf individuals teach and share their expertise in various aspects of life. Group coaching, webinars, and courses are all taught using American Sign Language to make it accessible for those who sign. That's what makes Deaf Academy unique--it is the bond of signing that brings us together.
