We are happy to be launching our IFundWomen Fundraising Campaign!
The Goal for this fundraising campaign is $90,000
My name is Mary Grenchus and I am the founder of The Grenchus Foundation. The Grenchus Foundation is a foundation that fosters arts faith and culture in the United States and Abroad.
Both faith and arts are said to be a betterment to society, yet at the same time, in American society and other places around the world, funding for the arts and the practice of faith are on a decline, which creates a decline in culture. I would like to establish this foundation to fight against these declines while establishing grants and scholarships for young adult artists. This, as well as being a voice for and promoting events for arts, faith, and culture will help culture to grow, creating a better society now and for future generations.
I have created this I Fund Women campaign to help the Grenchus Foundation to get established and to aid in its mission to better the world. Additionally, having engaged in pro-bono consultations with the church for the last 5 years, and now becoming a female entrepreneur, by launching this campaign, I will be encouraging women to be paid for what they do in relation to faith, while simultaneously bettering society.
Starting this campaign will also give us - the foundation - the space to get our marketing campaign off the ground, as well as to create the educational/support materials we would like to create, while speaking out against the issues that exist, promoting the arts, and selling artwork, while connecting with investors. Engaging in specific events of arts, faith and culture and promoting them will help others to see the beauty present in all three areas, as well as foster growth in all three areas, thus bettering society here in the United States, but also abroad.
This foundation is being founded on the inspiration of my grandparents, Paul Peter Grenchus and Mary Francis Grenchus who were an amazing couple that always fostered growth in my ability to create, to dream, to be inspired, and to live out my faith. With a deep love for politics, academics, health, and well-being my grandfather gave me a moral compass to live out my life with. My grandmother, with her love for art, family, and food gave me my deep love for the arts, family and a sense of community. Both of them have greatly inspired me to be the person I am today. In honor, appreciation, and love for them, as well as my love for ministry to individuals, youth, families and couples, I am opening this foundation to continue to do the beautiful work I love to do.
My customers/ audience is
- anyone interested in arts, faith and culture.
- women as I also continue to create programs that support women in their faith and spiritual journey, families, and youth as I continue to engage in different forms of Youth Faith and Family Faith Formation
- Families that support arts, faith, and culture in youth
- Youth who would like to apply for grants and scholarships for them to create in the arts.
I am uniquely qualified to start and run this type of business because of my grandparents as well as my professional experience. My grandmother was a piano concerto-ist during her young adult years, and my grandfather fostered growth in knowledge of politics, society, culture, and faith. My grandfather also worked for IBM and created patents for them. In professional experience, I have worked for the Catholic church as well as engaged in pro-bono consultations within different roles for the last 7 years. I have been a part of papal events including World Meeting of Families and World Youth Day. I have also been a member of different Music organizations and offered feedback and advice to them. I have worked with youth and young adults in the church for the last 7 years, knowing that music gives them a way to express themselves and to provide cultural awareness. I have engaged in inter-religious dialogue and faith practices as well as different cultural practices for the last 15 years. Also, over the last 20 years, I have engaged in budgeting, budget planning, financials, and most recently within investment firms. Working in investment firms and seeing the lack of funding for the arts is what has more fully inspired me to open this foundation.
I am raising money through the IFundWomen platform because they work closely with women to help them to realize their dreams. I Fund Women focuses on empowering female entrepreneurs in their early stages of development, offer support for females to grow their ideas, and to see those ideas and dreams become a reality. It is also recommended that women begin a crowdfunding campaign in the early start of their business, over other sources of funding avenues. The Funds raised through this platform will be used to finish establishing the Foundation, aid in operating expenses, and will provide funding to the grants and scholarships we would like to offer to youth and young adults. It will also help create the space for me to begin to meet with investors while also continuing to offer consultations in the church as well as other faith practices and promote cultural activities.

I am a mother of two very wonderful boys and live in Manhattan. I am currently studying Spirituality at Fordham University, have a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Boston College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from Binghamton University. I have studied abroad in France, and have traveled to different parts of Europe. I love supporting the arts, and making deeper connections with artists and art groups as I continuously uncover what brings my soul happiness and joy. In my free time, I am a singer, writer, photographer, and artist (oil, acrylics, pen and ink, charcoal, pastels). I am also an advocate for social justice and human rights, with many friends living in or coming from third-world countries. I have a deep spirituality which can be seen in my work, in my dreams, and in my creations. My grandfather was Lithuanian-American and my grandmother was Irish-American; thus I have inherited their charming personalities, ethnic cultural traditions and deep sense of love.

A Woman Full of Soul program is open to all women. This Soulful Women Program is an inspirational membership where we celebrate women for all they do and are trying to overcome in their lives, while also sharing on how to be a woman full of soul. You will hear from different women about their own journey and experience as a woman their success stories, as well as some of their challenges and how they are overcoming them, what inspires them and brings them hope, love, and joy. We look forward to bringing this program to you and sharing this program with you. This is about celebrating you as a female to celebrate you and to offer you encouragement, hope, and support. Frequently,women and mothers are the unsung heros in society. This program has been created to help women support each other in whatever their path is in life, and to accompany and encourage women and mothers on their journey. It is also a way to share the goodness they are doing and to celebrate it, while sharing techniques that work or do not work. This program will share about what being a soulful woman is while building women up to be full of soul, life, and faith. This program is also meant to build confidence, creativity, and inspiration as well as to give a voice to some of the unsaid things that need to be said. Additionally, if you are someone who is feeling overwhelmed in her life, with everything that is happening, or unable to find balance, this program is for you! If you are a new mother or a long-time mother, looking to find a support group, this is also for you! Why is it called A Woman Full of Soul Program/Project? Because as women, we are a constant work of art, We are constantly uncovering who we are, discovering ourselves, becoming who we are called to be, as well as discovering who that is. We are constantly learning and uncovering the depths of our soul, while we are molded and shaped through our experience; we are a project in the making, a work of art being painted every day and painting our lives every day.
