The Problem & Our Solution

The options for gift wrap for Black Americans were limited. Gift wrap and stationary lacked diversity and representation. Making sure our children see diverse images and have products that reflect them is extremely important to me as a parent. It's important for all children to see diverse images, not just black and brown children. Greentop Gifts started as a passion project for my son and turned to business to help other families also have diverse gift wrap and products for their own celebrations and special moments.

The Market

$8.5 Billion dollars was spent on wrapping paper in the US in 2019.  Black Americans spent $495MM on gift wrap and the entire category lacks diversity and representation for many families.

Why we are seeking funding?

This award will help us grow as we expand to celebrations outside of Christmas. We are developing new gift wrap, apparel, books and digital content for other moments such as Birthdays, Baby Showers, and Graduations. The additional capital will help with content creation, purchase of inventory, marketing efforts and contractors to assist in developing these projects.
