The self-development platform empowering and connecting today’s ambitious Black woman through curated products, impactful content, and events. It’s genius. It’s GEENIE.
GEENIE is on a mission to see Black women thrive. Not only do we deserve it, but we took a good look around and recognized the gaps. The gaps in really good content and products by us and for us. The gaps in funding for women and femme Black-owned businesses. And most importantly, the gaps in community support for like-minded women.
GEENIE addresses these gaps by providing the support, tools, and community to empower our subscribers to make their own magic. We inspire and connect our geenies through four avenues:
Our monthly gift box is curated by a successful woman (Geenie), featuring her favorite non-fiction book for personal and professional development and must-have products that center the lives of Black women. Our monthly Geenies each bring different magic to the table and come from the worlds of finance, entertainment, health and wellness, and more.
GEENIE’s podcast series showcases informational, uplifting, and sometimes provocative discussions on cultural issues and all things #BlackWomanGenius.
Complimentary digital courses for members released to the GEENIE community cover everything from spiritual life to finance. Learning and growing are the aims of the GeenieMasters series, filled with gems you can actually apply to your life.
Our popular gatherings are a community favorite for face-to-face connection. We do book readings, Q&As, small group sessions, and other networking events with diverse partners like a Time Studio (a local Black hair salon), Google, The Wing, The Boston Foundation. We currently have GEENIE ambassadors in NYC, Boston, and Atlanta who help organize our customers for these dynamic festivities.

GEENIE is out to empower any Black woman who has her eye on success. Whatever that word means to her, we’re going to help her get there through our curated, inspirational products, impactful content, and organic connections that money can’t buy.
Our geenie community is made up of well-read, spiritual, intra/entrepreneurial and other intellectually curious women of color. GEENIE founder Chana Ginelle Ewing believes in the magic of storytelling to inspire and empower. She’s dedicated to making the 13 billion dollar self-improvement market more accessible and culturally relevant through the GEENIE platform that showcases stories (sometimes hidden) in our community.

GEENIE is a growing platform of connection and empowerment which we’ve bootstrappedour thus far. And it’s worked thanks to our loyal community and the rich message of empowerment behind everything we do.
To get the funding we need, we’re going to the people. By tapping into the community itself and the minds and hearts of other like-minded individuals, we can spread awareness of our platform and give others the opportunity to participate in #BlackWomanGenius.
