Mind Your Own Beeswax LLC is a sustainable black and woman-owned business that handmakes organic beeswax candles. Our brand has three pillars: artisanship, sustainability, and radical self-care. The three pillars of MYOB are the primary focus in how and what we curate. The founder, Nicole Harris, started making candles during her last semester of undergrad. She struggled with allergies and wanted to find a holistic solution.  Thus, Nicole merged her interests in home goods and apothecary to formulate beeswax candles. Nicole  hopes to revolutionize the home goods sector by providing artistic vessel and the benefits of beeswax, because "healthy starts at home." 

Beeswax is a natural air purifier because when burned it releases negative ions into the atmosphere and binds to positive ions (dust, dander, and odors). Beeswax candles are the future because they're sustainable, non-toxic, and medicinal (beeswax candles improve symptoms related to asthma, anxiety, and allergies).

New information is emerging about the toxic nature of paraffin wax candles as they emit carcinogens. Soy wax candles are a popular go-to, however, soy emits high levels of estrogen. Beeswax is non-toxic and smells amazing.
