Meet the owner...
Chifea Williams, is a plant-based chef and owner of Fea Soul. The name of the business "Fea Soul" is inspired by her life journey, as a child she was granted the nickname Fea, and this business is the artistic expression of her soul.
Food has been a driving force in her life, ever since a close aunt taught her the secrets of the family's sweet potato pie recipe. After being exposed to Culinary Arts in High School, Chef Fea went on to graduate with Culinary Arts Management, and Hospitality Management degrees. With an educator for a mother, Chef Fea always understood the importance of sharing education. She briefly worked in a school setting as a Teacher's Assistant and as a Substitute Teacher, allowing her to put into practice the art of instruction.
Why we do it...
There is a vast amount of information the general public does not know about food, especially those living in food desserts.
Fea Soul is designed to engage clients in their journey through coaching them towards their personal goals, educating them on new approaches to eating plant-based, and providing experiences that inspire holistic lifestyle healing starting with what we eat.
What we will offer...
workshops that help share information on what a plant-based diet should look like and how beneficial it is
demonstrations that take all of that information and provide instructions on how to cook a particular plant-based dish
classes that go in depth with teaching the basic fundamental skills of preparing a plant-based diet.
private dining parties & meal planning customize your dining experience with your personal flavor profile and enjoy creative and unique plant-based dishes prepared right in your home.
weekly meals have a new menu each week available for pre-order and delivery with new and favorited plant-based options
pop-up events from Farmer’s Markets to Wellness Expos, you never know when Fea Soul might pop up near you. Stay posted with our subscription to stay in the loop.
Fea Soul plans to hire a chef assistant fairly soon after gaining the appropriate business licensing for this venture and additional employees as the business growth demands, providing local job opportunities for individuals in the community.
We also plan to partner with local Health & Wellness Businesses in our area to support a sustainable business community model.
What we need...
Chef Fea is a recent graduate of the ARISE Entrepreneurial Program started by the Women's Ministry at Salem Baptist Church of Chicago and was the 2nd Place Winner. She was awarded the opportunity to pitch on the AC Green Show on December 14, 2019 and will also be awarded $2,000 for the business. We have also received funding from some silent investors that allowed us to go ahead and obtain our licensing. Our initial Crowdfunding Goal was $5,000. We have now reached $2,500 putting us half way there. All donations are going straight towards the start-up costs of the business.
As a new business we encourage any assistance that would be beneficial towards our success.
We hope that you reach out to us.
