To overcome lower stomach insecurities in women & to show love and gratitude to an area that companies capitalize on hiding. We are better-for-you athlesuire.
THE PROBLEM.
Excess bloating & water weight in the lower stomach area. Women are 2x as likely as men to struggle with bloating caused by a variety of underlying issues stemming from the lower stomach area. We want you to wear clothing that works for you with the help of innovative textiles.

Emma Lou is an innovative athleisure brand using [proprietary], recycled, sweat-enhancing fabrics to beat bloat, decrease water weight retention, and support women in overcoming lower stomach insecurities. Up until now, women have been relegated to concealing lower stomach bloating with conventional waist trainers or by taking expensive, unregulated fat loss supplements that don’t work.
We’re taking a different approach, designing a waistband that uses our [patent-pending] textile technology to get to the root of the problem. Our recycled thermoplastic fabric is designed with an insulating property that traps heat and safely increases body temperature which enhances body sweat, in turn, leading to numerous benefits.

- Why are we crowdfunding?
Fitness & wellness is something I live and breathe. After helping my friends, family, and clients feel better about themselves through fitness and textile technology, I knew this was something I could make a business out of when clients started to see results after wearing our Glow Band bottoms. With some funding, Emma Lou will be able to file our patent application, continue product research and development for our Glow Band, launch additional products and restock sold out SKUs, and optimize the current website to highlight our differentiator to get our message across to consumers.
- How do wash the Glow Band bottoms?
Wash all items inside out and hang dry instead of putting them in the dryer.
- Are the Glow Band bottoms safe to wear?
Yes! Our bottoms have been tested and scientifically backed to be safe & effective for your lower stomach health. Slip them on and get to sweating.
Why did you come up with the idea of a sweat-enhancing waistband?

Growing up, I really struggled with my body image, and wanted to find something that would help me improve confidence in a healthy way, so I became infatuated with fitness and wellness. After always trying the “next big thing”, I decided to become a personal trainer to help other women who had felt the same way about their bodies as I did. While getting to know my clients, they usually all had the same critique and negative self-talk surrounding the lower stomach area for a number of reasons. There was nothing on the market I could point my clients to that would help them with their concerns, so I decided to make something myself that was sustainable, safe, effective, and of course... fashionable.
