RateMyGov.org's mission is to improve government performance through increased accountability and transparency.
Federal employees have a responsibility to serve the people with integrity and competence. Currently, it's difficult to publicly praise or condemn Federal employees in a way that is anonymous, unbiased, and unbridled. RateMyGov.org is a social media platform where account holders can anonymously rate government employees by completing a detailed questionnaire. We thrive on sharing supporting evidence rather than frivolous chatter. The weighted questionnaires produce ratings for the employees, the office, and the agency, which are available to all account holders. The public display of government function within the responsibility of an individual or individuals will result in public pressure to hire, promote, demote and/or discipline, terminate, or legally try an employee for their decisions or actions. Federal employees’ knowing that their performance can be reviewed and easily accessible online will provide motivation to perform with integrity, efficiency, and loyalty, resulting in the overall improvement of government function.
Funding will go to administrative requirements, website development, and marketing. The team will grow as funding becomes available, but for now, this is a team of one.

Who can participate in surveys? Anyone who has an account can take a survey. Only those who have taken the survey on the same employee can comment on someone else’s survey.
Who can see the survey results? Anyone who has an account.
Will there be account fees? No.
What does the survey consist of? The survey is a series of questions that identifies their integrity, work ethic, loyalty, attitude, decision-making skills, and leadership qualities.

Is RateMyGov.org for profit? RateMyGov.org has applied as a nonprofit charitable organization tax exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3), NTEE W20.
Why do I have to give my name if the survey is taken anonymously? Account holder’s name will only be available to RateMyGov.org admin for the purpose of verifying accounts or if legal issues arise with the account holder’s content, i.e., releasing information that is secret, confidential, or threatening.
Someone has rated me on RateMyGov.org. How can I get my name removed? The ratings on this website are available to the public because government employees’ work for the people. There would have to be extreme circumstances in which admin would delete a survey. Users can contact RateMyGov.org to consider removing a survey.
I am no longer a Federal employee. Can my name be removed from the website? Once a Federal employee is added in the system, they cannot be removed, but they can be flagged as retired or no longer working in that office. This removes them from inclusion of the overall office and agency ratings.
How does RateMyGov.org try to avoid erroneous survey results? Each account holder must be verified through an email and phone number to hamper an account holder from creating more than one profile. Each question is weighted based on the comments provided and the support received by other users.
