The beauty supply store should be a safe & sacred space for all black women and men, but as many of us know that is not always the case. Most beauty supply stores lack the guidance necessary to assist their customers in choosing products that work well for their specific hair type, hair porosity and overall hair needs! 

Well, now things are about to change...right here at Dipped in Beaute!

​​Dipped in Beaute is committed to redefining the beauty supply store experience by providing superior customer service and knowledge to properly educate our customers on what products are best for them! We plan to provide a personalized customer shopping experience by properly educating and preparing our customers with the products, insight & tools needed to evolve their self-care routine!

Hi, I'm Shanelle Trenard & I'm the owner of Dipped in Beaute! As a “naturalista” since 2010 and educator for over 5 years, I have combined my passion for education and hair care practices to ensure that everyone, no matter how big or how small, feels beautiful and confident in their own skin! 

Our in-store experience will be catered to our customers specific hair & lifestyle needs. You will have the opportunity to speak with knowledgable staff to assist you in making informed and educated decisions when purchasing your next beauty product. 

Additionally, we will offer educational workshops in our store where we will share hair tips from beauty influencers, hair stylists, dermatologists and so much more! We will use these workshops to practice proper hair care techniques for a more hands-on approach and have fireside chats chit-chat and hear more personal stories from people just like you!

By including products that cater to hair, male grooming, skin & lifestyle needs, we want to make sure we offer an equitable selection for various types of shoppers within our community. To bring this personalized experience to you online as well as in person, we will feature a hair analyzer to curate a box of products specific to your hair porosity, hair type and specific hair needs. By using these principles, we will create a space where you not only get what you need for healthy, beautiful hair, but you enjoy yourself and learn something new while doing it! It is one of our top priorities to ensure that we contribute to the beauty industry in a positive way. This space is all about building self-love & giving women the tools and support to feel confident within themselves.

At Dipped in Beaute, the majority of products we sell are by women and people of color to ensure we are uplifting our community and including products made for us, by us.

Dipped in Beaute will be located in Brooklyn, NY! The city FULL of black girl magic! We plan to uplift the Bedford-Stuyvesant community by providing employment opportunities and youth development while creating partnerships with local schools and offering free self-care workshops to students. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and that is #1 goal here at Dipped in Beaute Natural Hair & Lifestyle Boutique!

What We Need
 

Opening a storefront in the bustling streets of New York City and operating an online store is no easy feat. It is a very large undertaking that can become very costly, very fast! We are in the process of searching for the perfect storefront for us and have narrowed it down to 3 prospective places! We are looking for funding to cover our start-up costs. Your donations will go towards the following:

Initial Leasing Deposits

Store furnishings (shelving, decor, seating area)

POS System, packaging supplies & equipment

Inventory to ensure we have a variety of quality products for our customers

Security measures (safe & cameras)

Exterior storefront signage
