I have been in the animal field all of my life. Worked at the same veterinary hospital for over 20 years. When it became corporate I left as it was not the same anymore, and I was hoping to find another job that I loved as much as that one.
While working at that first veterinary hospital, I also started my first non profit rescue which saved hundreds of unwanted and forgotten cats and dogs and the occasional small animal.
Since I parted ways with these two jobs in my life, I felt I no longer have a purpose. I am no longer doing what I love. I am still in the same field, but it just is not the same.
That is why I decided to open Dewey & Friends. Dewey & Friends will be a dog day care and boarding facility with a small retail section, that will also offer animals available for adoption. As time goes by, there will also be grooming, training, and educational seminars put on by veterinarians to help teach the community how to better care for their pets.
By opening Dewey & Friends, I am giving a place where people can be comfortable leaving their furry friend while they are away at work, or for an extended stay somewhere. I will also be helping with the amount of animals in need of homes. Both of which are in need in the community.
If anyone has suggestions, or can help out financially, I thank you in advance.
