Dawn Park Naturals

Dawn Park Naturals is a passion project for me.   I discovered several years ago that skincare is some that really just makes me feel good about myself.  It is an easy, but healthy and luxurious form of self care that can be practiced by anyone, especially with natural products.  But buying natural bath and body products can be expensive, and you still can’t always be sure you’re getting chemical-free goods.

This is not the first company of this type I’ve started or run; in 2017 I launched a social enterprise company employ survivors of sex-trafficking for a local anti-trafficking nonprofit.  We made all organic, fair trade bath and body products and I loved it.  The thing is, my primary work has been nonprofit ministry for over 10 years now, primarily with women who have been trafficked, but I really miss making these products!

My plan for this business is to start locally, in the Houston area, expanding statewide once supply chains and shipping concerns have been addressed.  There is a large market for these kinds of skincare products, particularly if prices are affordable.  I know what it costs to make these products and how to price them.

As I am starting out I have used personal money as funding, however I have reached the point where that is no longer a viable option if I want to continue to grow.  I have the support of my family, an advisor who runs a similar business, a website specialist, and a large sample group for product testing, which is beginning next week.
