Project Description

Custom-Taylored Educare strives to establish a safe place conducive to the development and growth of children at the high school level. We provide a unique college and career readiness service that is designed to fulfill the educational needs of children and help them to fulfill their career goals. Our online platform allows mentors/instructors and students alongside their caretakers to collaborate in a way that fits their academic needs. We have a devoted team of Cultivation Counselors, Development Instructors, and Care Mentors that are here to help students explore their interests, become proficient in core subjects, complete college applications, apply for scholarships, and find resources that align with each students unique path.

At the heart of our organization is our desire to serve as an advocate and resource for students in the foster care system. According to the information gathered by fosteringchamps.org, foster care students are twice that of other students to be absent from school. In 2015, it was recorded that 70% - 84% of 17-18 year olds desired to go to college, but only 31.8% - 45.3% actually enrolled in college at some level. Our virtual platform will allow us to always be a constant in these children's lives, even as they switch households and change schools. We see the statistics and we need your help to be able to provide a service that will fill the gap.
