Cuddles From Nature

When I was pregnant, I thought a lot about my future child. I thought about what his or her life would be like. Would he or she love nature the way that I and my husband do? Would he or she have sensitive skin like my husband? How would the way that I live change? What can I do to teach him or her to love and care for mother earth? and I thought about his or her future and how it will be impacted by climate change. Was I doing everything that I could to leave the world a better place for the future generations?

The more I researched baby clothing and accessories, the more turned off I was. The clothing and accessories were made with materials that are harmful to the environment and which contain toxic chemicals and harsh dyes. This is not what I wanted for my baby. Furthermore, they were so……blah. I wanted something that was good for the environment but also fashionable and fun.

That pregnancy, unfortunately, ended up in a loss. Though that experience was the most lonely and painful experience of my life, Cuddles From Nature was born. Beauty came from ashes.

Cuddles From Nature sells fun, fashionable, ethical, sustainable and earth friendly products. Sustainable does not have to equal boring.

What makes us different?

All of our products are made with either 100% Organically Grown Cotton that adhere to the highest global standards of organic textile production (GOTS) or Bamboo which is also a highly sustainable resource. The inks that are used to print our original illustrations are eco-friendly and water-based inks. our garments are produced in fair trade settings that focus on social and economic independence for local people, women especially, working to provide for their families in a safe and fair environment.

Lastly, we believe in second chances. That’s why we will not discriminate when it comes to hiring non-violent offenders. I have met many people who were imprisoned for non-violent crimes, who have been unable to obtain employment due to their records. Mind you, these records could be from 10-15 years ago. I do not believe in holding someone’s past mistake over their head for the rest of their lives. That’s why we will. By giving someone a chance, we hope to give them hope for the future.

Overall, our company takes inspiration from our Mother Earth while striving to have minimal impact on her.

Why Do We Need Your Help?

We are seeking funding for our start-up for equipment and products in order to launch. We need a Direct to Garment printer as well as the clothing made from 100% organic cotton or bamboo in bulk. Funding will also help us to market and promote and hire initial staff to get up and running.

Our team, as of right now, is just me. I also use freelancers from Fiver for some projects but right now, I am a one woman show.
