Problem
Visual art and music can be a way of expressing oneself, connecting with others, and dealing with life's struggles. While we can all appreciate the arts, visual artists and musicians often struggle to make a living from their talent.
While musicians and artists can easily share their work with the world now thanks to the internet, easier access to art and music means consumers are less willing to pay. This is seen in the fact that popular platforms for displaying art or streaming music are largely supported by ad revenue.
Brands spend billions on digital advertising, and yet only 25% of ads reach real people. Bots make up 38% of internet traffic and are a major cause of ad fraud. The ads that do reach real people often fail as well because the user does not feel any emotional connection to them.
Solution
Craft Music helps creative individuals earn revenue from their craft, while helping businesses better connect to customers through the power of music and art. It is a social media platform, marketplace, and pocket studio for visual artists, musicians, and brands.
The in-app studio allows users to collaborate on a project in real-time, adding video clips, photos, and audio. They can add effects, record, import and export files. Users can exit and enter the studio at any time. Brands can send paid collaboration offers to artists and musicians to create ads for their business, which can be used on the platform as well as other outlets.
Users can sell exclusive rights or lease their work in the app marketplace, using our standard contracts so that they don't have to worry about rights management and can focus on their craft.
Market Size
The global art market was valued at $67.4B (+6%) and global recorded music market valued at $19.1B (+9.7%) in 2018, each continuing to grow. Meanwhile, global digital ad spend was $283B in 2018 and is expected to reach $333B by the end of this year.
Revenue Model
Our revenue model consists of the following:
