My mission is to use my skill-set as a computer programmer to empower my community and help students discover their Coding Superpowers as they transition into the Digital Future! After volunteering in my son’s school to teach him and his classmates how to code I quickly realized that the STEM software sucked! Urban schools were being left out of the Digital Revolution! The world is in the midst of a shift from mechanical and analogue electronic technology to digital electronics and urban students are only being taught and encouraged to consume technology (video games.) They’re not taught how to produce technology aka (STEM, code, coding, or computer programming.) Without this valuable skill-set urban students will most-likely be unemployable because they won’t be able to perform the job requirements. So, I quit my job as an automotive software engineer and Codewithsharen LLC was born. It was a very difficult journey, I had my truck repossessed, my cell phone disconnected (including business line, So embarrassing), ruined my credit that I worked so hard to repair, and I live well below my previous lifestyle. I took a risk! I suffered! But it eventually paid off. I secured my first major contract to implement my STEM software that I developed (which is our MVP/Version 1) into Michigan school districts! Yayyyy! No… There’s one problem: I need funds to service the contract. My contract is paid on a 60 day net which means I have to provide services then wait 60 days to get paid for those services. I don’t have the cash flow to sustain Codewithsharen. This stimulation prevents me from hiring staff. No one wants to wait 60 days to get paid. But.... With your help I will be able to keep the contract, hire much needed team members, and continue on my mission to empower my community. Win Win Win!
Thank you for taking the time to read of my journey and I hope that you decided to support the mission.
