Co-Learning Centers to Combat COVID-Learning Loss!

Learned Potential is an Education Services and Management Firm. We offer Special Education consulting services to school districts and families. We offer early intervention services, academic intervention support, tutoring, related services, professional development, parental resources assistive technology, education software, and more!

 Learned Potential was founded by Gabriela Timothy in 2017 as a Learning specialist service to parents. It was important to spend time outside of the classroom addressing the educational deficits seen in her own classroom. Gabriela worked exclusively with students with diverse learning needs by creating differentiated learning plans and strategies. In 2018,  after time working in the central office of the Philadelphia school district, Learned Potential pivoted to helping school districts grow their own capacity to serve diverse learners. In 2022. We are opening two learning spaces in Philadelphia and near Trenton, New Jersey.

COVID 19 has affected us all, especially our youth. Learned Potential is a small, but mighty education consulting firm that worked tirelessly before, during, and now in the aftermath of COVID 19 school shutdowns to ensure access to quality education opportunities for Black, Brown, and other diverse learning groups. Together with diverse school leaders, we adapted current education programming to the online format, increased staffing capabilities through professional development, and brought in community resources to provide food, technology, and other resources for families in need throughout the Pandemic. We are expanding our services and will be opening a tutoring center and will use funds to purchase equipment and essential items for our Tutor Potential center. We will purchase comfortable and flexible furniture, WiFi packages, and technology for STEM. Lastly, funds will support the onboarding, Training, and development of tutors, teachers, and specialists will allow students to ensure students are always in front of prepared educators.

Learned Potential is made up of a team of diverse educators, with an obligation to serve multicultural communities through education. Everyone deserves access to equitable opportunities. To quote former President Obama, “The best anti-poverty system is a world-class education” We strive to use our resources and community to provide resources such as tutoring centers, quality schools, and community-based programs that connect youth and adults to opportunities and the world around them. Diverse Learners need to be prepared for this fast-paced and ever-changing society, as they will soon make up the majority of the schools, workforce, and future leaders of our society.
