Project Description
There is absolutely nothing like a Cake Muse cheesecake.
Creative and modern, globally inspired flavor profiles, infused into the NY Cheesecake canvas.
Cake Muse aims to address the need for artisan quality NY Cheesecake in the Portland Metro area and beyond -as shipping across the US will also be available!
What started as a home based hobby, alongside my commercial art business, quickly took on a life and momentum of it’s own!
By pairing art and design elements with culinary experience, I began “palette painting” with unique and unexpected flavors. Cake Muse was instantly regarded as high-end, artisan quality NY Cheesecake.
From those humble home beginnings, to working out of a commercial/commissary kitchen, Cake Muse began popping up at coffee shops and festivals, then entered into collaborations with established chefs and restaurants - while fulfilling custom orders for clients, parties and celebrations...
and now it’s time to scale up again!
Cake Muse now has the opportunity to open a walk-up window style restaurant in the beautiful and thriving Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood of Portland, Oregon!
Here, customers can order by the slice, cake bites and flights, and continue to order whole cakes for their catering needs, in addition to ordering Cake Muse from Postmates, Uber Eats and Grubhub!
I am asking for your help with a few key elements in order to meet customer and business demands.
Where the money is going:
• Multnomah county licensing/inspection
• Signage for the exterior of the building
• A reach-in refrigeration unit for the walk up area to keep cake slices cold and readily accessible
• Branded packaging and serving supplies
• Marketing and advertising beyond social media (mailers, ads, etc...)
• Essential small kitchen wares
• incidentals

Cake Muse is a one woman operation until the time comes to hire window servers, which will create job opportunities, and allow for more time in production and development.
I am beyond excited to enter this new phase as a restauranteur ~ with this amazing space to grow and develop the concept to even greater heights!
