Great Beer and Great People!

For us, some of our greatest memories have been in a brewery. It’s where we’ve experienced the loudest laughs, the best celebrations, the most interesting travel experiences, and the deepest conversations. So now, looking ahead as we transition to a post-Covid world, we are putting our money where our beer is.

Founded by a husband-and-wife team, Jeanne and Vince Guarino, O’Neill Beer Company will have all the things you’ve come to expect from a great brewery -- a prime view of the beautiful production tanks, beers by the flight, the aroma of grains steeping, knowledgeable staff, and drinking puns galore.   

And it’s more important in 2022 than ever before. As we recover from being cooped up to save the world, we are all desperate for a pint ad a bite to eat with our old friends again and to meet new friends - and that’s what you’ll find here.

We’ll be serving world-class beer with satisfying food to go with. We want you to explore the array of beers we will brew and enjoy finding new styles that are not as readily available. We will also serve great wines from a local distributor. We will serve an evolving food menu meant to satisfy while paring with our beer. There will genuinely be something for everyone. We want to belong to the neighborhood, and we’re super grateful to be joining you all.

We truly believe that the local brewery serves an essential part of society. It was a community, long before there were ever TVs or cell phones to distract us from each other. We want to push this community forward, by taking it back to what made it wonderful in the first place: you and the people you care about coming together chatting about your hopes, dreams, and memories. Spending your time laughing over everything and nothing, or unwinding after a long day, and most importantly, drinking something delicious made by people who genuinely love it.

Our Products

Vince was a homebrewer for ~13 years, to prepare for brewing professional he attended the UC Davis master brewers certificate program. We will focus on making the best beer by focusing on sourcing quality ingredients. We will partner with a local distributor to offer wine and cider.  

The Space

O’Neill Beer Company will occupy the first floor of a three-story office building. We will have a glass roll up door and floor to ceiling glass window to share the whole brewing experience. We will divide the bar into two spaces, one will be a living room with couches and living room chairs, the other will have long tables and TV’s. We have a rollup garage door to bring the outside in on good weather days.  

Founders

We are a husband-and-wife team – Jeanne and Vince Guarino - on a mission to create a beer drinking experience with a strong sense of community, uniting craft beer and food lovers in one, great space. We have spent several years in research and development for this project. O’Neill Beer Company is the result of our combined passions for fermentation, food, travels, business, and the camaraderie that comes from a team dedicated to hard work and drinking holidays. 

Why Crowdfunding?

It's no small thing to launch a business coming out of a global pandemic, and your early support of O’Neill Beer Company is invaluable as we ramp up to opening. We cannot do this without you.

We firmly believe that beer unites people, and although we can't party in person until late summer 2022, we'd like to think that through the experiences offered in the campaign, we're giving you, our biggest fans, something to be a part of and to look forward to. The money raised here will be used to build out our brewery, the space we get to share together this summer. Help us make it incredible. Help us make it a place where you want to be a regular. Help us make it your favorite destination in Reno, drinking or otherwise. 

As a team that’s 50% female, we chose the iFundWomen platform specifically as they are an incredible resource for female entrepreneurs, and they directly re-invest 20% of their fees back into the pockets of their founders. We know that women face a distinct set of challenges in fundraising, and we’re stoked to be campaigning here with an organization doing something about it.
