Bradley's Fun Co. Crowdfunding Campaign

 Hello, I’m Alyssa, and I would like to tell you a quick story about my passion project of opening Bradley’s Fun Company, right here in my community! 

Last winter, I felt depressed, that I worked so much, and wasn’t able to spend more time with my girls. I noticed my time away affected their behavior, in a negative way, and made all of us so unhappy. I complained SO much, about not having a local place like the old Hidden Cove, that I annoyed myself!  

Then one day, after my usual rant, a customer asked me. “Why don’t you open a place since it’s so needed! I replied. “Sure! If I had the money!” 

Wait! Can I? I could not stop thinking about what it would take to actually open a fun, indoor place for birthday parties. I began researching everything. Then talking about what I learned, with almost every customer I had, to see if this idea really was a shared issue among moms.  

To my surprise, I had so much positive feedback, that I got partners! 

We began building our corporation, deciding what activities we were going to have, and looking for the right location. We looked at many places and started telling people about our project! I was so excited, that I finally found my happiness, and how I was going to make a difference in my community! However, after 7 months of hard work, that excitement came to a stop. My partners and I couldn’t agree on the location and broke up. I no longer had partners.  

So there I was, back to being unhappy again, and not even wanting to show my face at work. Since there was so much excitement built up around the project, I felt like I had failed the community. I definitely lost my hope, my passion, and really myself.  

It wasn’t fun at the bottom, but that seems to be when you grow the most. I consumed myself in Gary Vee’s content, and with the love and support from my family and friends, I got back up. They reminded me I only failed if I quit, and motivated me to keep following my happiness.  

So this is me, reaching out to my community to help me help you! Help me open an indoor place we can take our kids after school, on weekends, or on bad weather days. Somewhere we can go with more options for birthday parties! I want to make FUN memories with my girls, but also have a place to go for date night. My vision is to build a space that will give everyone an option to play no matter what your age!
