The Podcast
Boom is a serialized audio drama about Porter, a thirty-something living in Nashville, TN. He must come to terms with the murder of his best friend and love of his life Genevieve, and it's far from an easy road. It's part mystery but mostly a story about trauma, recovery, and relationships. The first three seasons of the show explored a plethora of emotional storylines, and season 4 will be the conclusion of Porter's story.
About Us
Boom is fully dramatized, and it takes a village to produce. We have a full cast and crew consisting of two dozen pretty damn talented people. Helming that village is creator Faith McQuinn and producer Amanda Lorraine.
Faith McQuinn
Faith has been a video editor and writer for 12 years and spent nine years teaching film. She's prided herself in being a storyteller in all forms and has worked on short form projects of all sorts.
She founded Observer Pictures in 2015 with the intent to produce a short film every year. In 2017, the idea to revisit a story from college quickly evolved into Boom.
Amanda Lorraine
Amanda has been intrigued with storytelling ever since her mom and Nanny introduced her to "stories" (aka soap operas). It sparked a fire inside her to help bring stories to life. Through college and after, she's been on the producing team for multiple short films. She met Faith in college where their teacher-student relationship transformed into a creative duo when she joined Observer Pictures.

Reviews
Boom is a featured show in the Modern Radio Drama list on Apple Podcasts. It has appeared on Best Of Lists from Bello Collective, AudioDramaRama, and Audio Dramatic.
"Boom has always been the most anxiety-inducing thriller podcast on my list, and the third season did not hold back on the tension, when it could have easily dropped away....[T]he third season showcases not only McQuinn’s tight scripting and the voice actors’ immense talents, but the research and care taken in portraying subjects like the legal system, PTSD, and recovery from trauma."
-Elena Fernández-Collins, Audio Dramatic
"I was ripped to pieces and put back together only to be ripped to pieces again by the fantastic drama "Boom" ...[I]t'll grip you in episode 1 and prove its premise in episode 2 and 3."
-StationBluePod, Twitter Review
"This story, from the beginning, hands you characters you can't help but get attached to, a story you have to know the end of, and a portrayal of trauma that's honest and heartbreaking without being condescending."

Why We Need Funding
The long and short of it? 24 dedicated, super talented people deserve to be fairly compensated for the hard work and amazing talent they bring to this show.
With each new season, it's become more and more difficult to compete with the schedules of our actors and crew, especially when those schedules involve projects that pay.
With funding, we'll be able to secure our talent, our crew, and our recording studio.
If we reach our goal of $3000, that can all happen sooner rather than later. If we exceed our goal, we can produce an additional season. And who doesn't want more Boom?!

We have some great rewards as a thank you for your support! A slew of digital content plus some stuff that you can hold in your hands!! (These are all mockups. The actual product may differ.)
