“Preventing pressure ulcers has been a nursing concern for many years. In fact, Florence Nightingale in 1859 wrote, “If he has a bedsore, it’s generally not the fault of the disease, but of the nursing.”

Our goal is to advocate for Improved Patient Care and Outcomes and to support the Medical Professionals and Nursing Staff who work at Long-Term Care Facilities and in the homes of patients in who are in a critical and delicate condition. Help us make our vital tool available to as many individual caregivers and facilities to aid in the prevention of painful and life-threatening bedsores that affects millions of dependent individuals in the United States and worldwide.

"Bedsores Be Gone/BBG" considers the health and wellness of caregivers as well as their patients. In most cases, bedsores are preventable. Repositioning every 2-3 hours is a labor-intensive task which places repetitive physical strain onto caregivers’ hands putting them at risk for injury.
