What is Bamblu?

Bamblu is a sleep company that offers eco-friendly, bamboo linen, and solutions for relaxation.

At Bamblu, our mission is personal, and we take it very seriously.  On the surface, we are a sleep company.  In actuality, we see the long-term impacts of what we do - helping our customers fend off chronic illnesses and mental health challenges, and promoting better social and familial relationships.

Bamblu’s bedding is naturally pest-resistant, hypoallergenic, antibacterial, antimicrobial, moisture-wicking, and temperature-regulating. Sleeping on bamboo bedding will lead to an immediate improvement in sleep - a total lifestyle upgrade. Research shows sleep deprivation has been linked to many health issues, including obesity, depression, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Poor sleep also causes poor concentration, decreased productivity, and undue stress and strain on relationships. Offering organic bamboo linen goes beyond helping to create an elevated sleep experience. It also contributes to an improved overall quality of life.

With the carryover success of our holiday campaign coupled with sales in the first quarter of 2020, Bamblu was slated for our best year to date.  First-quarter sales were up by 92% over the same period in the prior year.  However, our outlook quickly shifted in March. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our trusted bedding manufacturer was closed for an extended period of time. Upon reopening, they instituted a new order minimum that doubled our normal minimum order quantity and increased the production timeline to 90 days from about 35 days.

After investing heavily in marketing and online advertising to capture renewed interest in our products due to the institution of nationwide telework policies during the pandemic, we found ourselves unable to meet demand. Our current revenue model requires heavy reinvestment of profits to maintain enough inventory to meet demand and to preserve enough working capital for marketing initiatives that drive sales.  Because of our inability to purchase inventory in the larger quantities required, sales of our signature bedding product were temporarily halted as we reassessed our options.  Within the next month, we will have exhausted all of our current inventory at a time when our brand recognition is skyrocketing. This is not an ideal situation for a business with a growing customer base.

However, because we are committed to our mission and to our customers, especially in these trying times when none of us can afford to compromise our health, we have found a way to pivot. We have devised a plan to buy back into the bedding line by raising capital through crowdfunding. This will allow us to create brand awareness through a campaign, offer desirable rewards focused on bundling luxury eco-friendly Bamblu bedding products and fund ads when the new bedding inventory launches.

Selecting Sizes and Colors

As for choosing the size and color for each of your sets, after the campaign has completed we will reconnect with you to get your selection. Initially, Crisp White will be available.  If we reach our stretch goals, additional colors will also be available for selection. 

The sizes currently available to our backers are as follows:

• Full
• Queen 
• King 
• California King 

All sets are designed to fit standard North American mattress sizes and have a pocket depth of 16".

Timing and Process

We have completed the legwork and are ready to begin production as soon as we achieve our goal of $10,000.  After our campaign has finished, we will start production on the sheets - as such, we estimate it will take approximately 6-8 weeks from the conclusion of the campaign for us to being shipping sheets.  For more detail on the next steps and timing please see the charts below.
