Why can't Science be fun?! Not only should it be fun, it should be natural for our very young to understand. We want our youngest school age kids to be able to learn about Science and it's principles naturally. What's more natural than music? The idea that one of our songs can be sung before a test, in a class when they get older or can make any Childs experience in science less scary, is why we do it.
Mission statement -
to teach children elementary science through music, musical theatre, and comedy. To become a globally recognized household brand for children's entertainment and education.
Sound through music is a children’s educational entertainment company that focuses on elementary science. Our first project “At The Wave” is children’s musical that teaches about the beginning physics of sound. It teaches about the four elements of sound, how sound travels, vibrations, matter, decibels, and much more all while singing dancing. We have performed the musical at many different venues in NYC including BAM and an off broadway theater. The children loved the characters so much We created a web/TV series called “ Meet Me At The Wave”. The show is based on the Musical and features the songs and the characters from the musical living their everyday lives. Along with the different segments in the show “Kids Doing Extraordinary Things” and “Meet Me At The Wave Presents” it is a great show. It teaches life lessons with a scientific twist. It currently plays on Brooklyn free Speech and YouTube.
We intend to take the “Meet Me At The Wave” project to include different sciences. Our next endeavor is atmosphere. We will be incorporating different characters and music.
We at Sound Through Music are constantly looking for different ways to teach through entertainment which means we are constantly evolving. We want to become a global household name when it comes to science education and principles. Our goal is to be the new Sesame Street Of Science. That would definitely be a Cinderella Story.
It's been difficult acquiring these goals. Basically we are not Sesame Street yet.
The plan: Our plan always was to do performances to raise our own money. Fortunately we sell out every time. Unfortunately we are not Sesame Street yet. The venues that we can afford are too small. We can't charge a lot because we are not Sesame Street. So we basically break even after paying for everything.
The $10,000 would pay for 2 large venues and would allow us to bring the production of the show up to New York standards.
We want to bring this all over the United States and then all over the world. Your contribution would help us do this.
I wanna thank you for your help and thank you for understanding our plight.
