Project Description

Join us as we bake up a sweeter world, one dessert at a time!

The Beginning…

Hi! I’m Steph and I’m on a mission to make the world a sweeter place. My original plan was to be a doctor, but after college I realized that I’d much rather wear an apron than a lab coat. I still wanted to help people and empower them to thrive, so I decided to take two things that I love – baking and design – and create a company!

So in February of 2017, I moved from California to Nashville and launched Sweeten the Day!

My personal mission, and the mission for this company, is to make the world a sweeter place.

Let’s Talk Dessert…

If you’re like me, you can’t get enough of the unexpected and completely wonderful desserts that bloggers create. My hope is to share that sense of fun and endless possibilities through every dessert Sweeten the Day bakes up.

In Nashville, Sweeten the Day provides dessert catering for weddings and events and takes special orders…everything from irresistible, Chocolate Overload Cake (decadent chocolate cake, layered sky-high with fluffy chocolate mousse, dark chocolate ganache, milk chocolate buttercream, and loads of chocolate chips) to our Skinny Elvis Cupcakes (gluten-free, reduced sugar, peanut butter cupcakes with caramelized banana frosting).

And we just got the opportunity to share our Power Protein Muffins through Music City Fit Meals (if your live in Nashville, you need to check out their food- it’s amazing!!). We kicked things off with our Peanut Butter & Jelly Protein Muffins (gluten-free, reduced-sugar, and 9 grams of protein!), and we’re now introducing our Maple Harvest Protein Muffins and Double Chocolate Protein Muffins.

Sweeten the Day is also partnering with UberEATS and GrubHub to deliver desserts that satisfy Nashville’s sweet cravings. Our treats run the gamut from outrageous bundt cakes (with crazy cores, like Nutella fudge and salted caramel) to gluten-free and paleo goodies.

Our next step is to introduce themed dessert days, like Sunday Morning Sweets and We-Made-It Wednesdays, that will allow us to feature new, fun desserts every week through these food delivery apps. And, best of all, you’ll get to vote for the treats you want! The goal is to create a fun and interactive experience, that’s full of delight. Dessert, and life, should be fun!

Beyond the Frosting…

My personal mission, and the mission for this company, is to make the world a sweeter place. I want every sweet treat to feel like an invitation to celebrate life, whether it’s a holiday or special event, or something as simple as making it through the mid-week mark. I wrap up each treat with extra care and artful packaging so the people who receive them are reminded of how special they are. My vision is to create desserts that spark joy and deliver an extra helping of encouragement!

A World of Purpose…

As much as I love dessert and design, Sweeten the Day is about so much more. I’ve been blessed to go after my dreams, and my heart’s desire is for this company to be a vehicle that empowers women, families, and veterans to live out their own beautiful dreams.

That’s why we donate at least 10% of net profits to World Vision and Disabled American Veterans, two charities that truly do a world of good. I love World Vision because they’re not willing to let anyone in any corner of the globe be forgotten. They provide nutrition, clean water, disaster relief, education, and more for kids, families, and communities.

Grateful for the work that World Vision is doing! Grateful for the work that World Vision is doing!

Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is an equally amazing organization. A dear friend, who is an incredible advocate for veterans and a combat veteran herself, has seen firsthand how DAV advocates for our veterans and makes sure that they have the resources they need to thrive in life. That’s why I’m so thankful for DAV. They fight on behalf of those who have fought so unselfishly for our freedom.

So thankful for DAV; they do incredible work! So thankful for DAV; they do incredible work!

The vision and the dreams for this company are truly bigger than anything I can accomplish on my own. And this is why I’m asking for your help!

When you #ShareTheLove through your prayers and support, Sweeten the Day will be able to impact more people in more places in positive, life-changing ways.

Here’s where the money will go:

Celebrating All Moms!

For Mother’s Day, we’re creating a sweet way for families to celebrate and thank their moms. We’ll be designing special hat boxes to house sweet treats and desserts for gifting on Mother’s Day.

As part of this, we’ll be donating one prenatal kit through MercyCare Uganda for every gift box we sell. Many moms-to-be in Uganda do not have enough money to buy these kits for themselves. Each kit helps moms have a safer delivery and gives newborns a stronger start in life.

Your donations will make this a reality by allowing us to purchase the necessary supplies for the Mother’s Day gift boxes and prenatal kits.

It Takes a Village

With big dreams come big to-do lists! As I work to expand the impact and scope of Sweeten the Day, I need to hire part-time team members who are full-time amazing. Your donations will make it possible for us to bake up more desserts and create sweeter tomorrows for moms, families, and veterans!

With all of my heart, THANK YOU for joining me and making the world a sweeter place!

Steph 🙂
