Project Description
The Bouncebackability Factor is a book written to fill a gap in the burnout discussion - burnout among women entrepreneurs.
I truly believe that women are saving the world by creating soul-based businesses that nourish our communities and this book is my way of ensuring that we can continue to do that without killing ourselves in the process.
The American Express State of Women-Owned Business Report from 2019 tells us that, "The potential of women entrepreneurs for spurring economic growth has not been fully realized". So basically, we're not slowing down.
BUT.
The background isn't looking as cheery as the paperwork. We're burning out, closing our businesses nearly as fast as we open them, still stuck in the systems that don't support us.
The Bouncebackability Factor is part autobiography, part manifesto, part self-help, and 100% designed to help you break down your personal burnout culture so that you can create and sustain the life and businesses that will save the world AND contribute to ending burnout culture for all of us.
By getting female entrepreneurs off the proverbial frying pan, we open up opportunities for growth, job creation, and increasing female wealth.
Crowdfunding with iFundwomen was the logical solution after I finished the first manuscript and started looking for an A-class editor and realized the surprisingly high cost of self-publishing a high quality, well-edited, well-designed and marketable enough to reach the masses book.
The money raised on iFundwomen will go directly to other female-owned businesses that will edit, typeset, format, design, market, print, and distribute The Bouncebackability Factor in September 2020!

The Dalai Lama said once that Western Women would save the world. I think it will be women, overall, from every background, country, language, and culture - and this is my contribution - a fierce internal desire to eliminate burnout in my peers, friends, and colleagues so that we CAN save the world.

Quick Note on Who I am :)
I'm Cait Donovan - specialist in Chinese Medicine, expert in burnout, and host of FRIED - The Burnout Podcast. I followed the universes' guidance and my heart all over the world doing work that I love - and I burned out anyway. Twice.(Those Instagram meme's lied..). After the second time, I began a 3-year process of examing the research, neuroscience, life coaching principles, and theories of Chinese Medicine as they relate to chronic stress and burnout. Since that time I have recovered, moved to NYC, and created a business that showers women entrepreneurs with bouncebackability and burnout cures.

- Why is it so expensive to make a book?
Oh, seriously, it was shocking to me when I found out! A great editor for the length of my book will cost around $3000, then, formatting and typesetting (the things that make it look good in Kindle and on paper) another $400. Marketing and the 'Launch', plus getting an IBSN and getting it on Amazon, another $4000. Then, we have the cost of printing and distributing which will run about $5 or $6 per book (so... if we get to 1000 books.....yeah, that's $6000) - What made you write The Bouncebackability Factor?
I needed this book so badly and it wasn't available. So, I researched and healed and healed and researched until I had enough information for the women who will come after me. Also, as with my podcast and my decision to move to Poland from California in 2007 - the decision was sort of made for me. I was going back and forth about whether to start it and then the Universe kept conjuring up situations that gave me time alone or time when I was immobile.. I couldn't NOT write this book. - What is your experience?
(TOP SECRET NEWS: This is in the book :)) As an entrepreneur myself and the daughter of an entrepreneur, I've known for a long time that I'm not great at being an employee. When I moved to Poland in 2007, I worked in a fertility clinic as an independent contractor until I opened my private practice - and it's there that my burnout story begins. I was so confused because I was successful doing a job I loved, and I didn't understand how I could feel so terrible. It took me moving to another country and starting over (and burning out again) to figure it out. - What's in Bounce Back Oil?
Avocado Oil, Cardamom Oil, Holy Basil Oil, Frankincense Oil, and Ashwagandha + Licorice extract. It was super important to me to create a product that was stress-relieving that didn't rely on lavender. The balance of frankincense and cardamom that Lindsey created is SO MAGICAL. I love this stuff.
